Hello and welcome to another exciting school year! This is my 30th year teaching in the Menomonee Falls School District and I am looking forward to working with you. I taught 2nd grade for many years before becoming a Reading Specialist.
I received my undergraduate degree in elementary education at the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1984. In 1994, I received my Masters Degree in Reading from Cardinal Stritch University.
I work with students in third through fifth grade focusing specifically on reading interventions. In addition, I work with Riverside teachers and staff, as well as district Reading Teachers to provide staff development and coaching in continually improving the reading program both at Riverside and district-wide.
I taught a graduate course for Concordia University to teachers working on obtaining their Reading Teacher License (Childrens Literature K-12) in 2017.

I presented at the Comprehensive Literacy Model Training in 2012
I received the Superintendent's Child Advocacy Award in 2010
I presented at the Waukesha Reading Council Meeting in 2009
I received my Professional Development Certificate in 2003
I am a member of the International Reading Association and the Wisconsin State Reading Association
